Thank you for using Actify ("we," "our," or "the app"). Your privacy is extremely important to us, and we designed Actify to collect as little data as possible.
Actify is a charades-style party game. Core gameplay works without an account. Optional features — cloud backup of custom decks and an Actify Pro subscription — require signing in with Google. This policy explains what data is collected in each case.
Anonymous users (no sign-in):
If you do not sign in, the app may automatically create an anonymous Firebase account. This generates a random user ID that cannot identify you personally. It is used only to enforce free-tier usage limits (such as the daily Party Mode quota) on our server. No name, email, or other personal information is collected or associated with this ID.
Google sign-in users:
When you sign in with your Google account (via Android Credential Manager and Firebase Authentication), we receive the following information from your Google account:
This information is used solely to identify your account and associate your custom decks and subscription status with you. We do not use it for advertising or share it with third parties beyond Google Firebase, which provides the authentication service.
If you are signed in, custom decks you create are automatically backed up to Google Firebase Firestore (cloud storage) so they are available across your devices. This includes:

If you purchase an Actify Pro subscription, Google Play processes and manages the payment. We receive only your subscription status (active, expired, or cancelled) from Google Play and our own Firebase backend to determine which features you can access. We do not receive or store your payment card details.
We collect diagnostic information only if you keep crash reporting enabled (on by default, opt-out available in Settings). This helps us understand and fix app crashes.

We use Firebase Remote Config to adjust certain app settings (such as free-tier limits) remotely without requiring an app update. This service fetches configuration values from Firebase servers. It does not collect any personal information from you.

If you sign in, your account information and custom deck content are stored in Google Firebase services in accordance with Google's privacy policies and security standards.
Data Retention: Account data and custom decks are retained for as long as your account exists. If you delete your account or request deletion, your data is removed from our servers.
Crash data is processed and stored by Google. Retained for up to 90 days, then automatically deleted.
Usage analytics are aggregated and anonymized. Retained per Google's standard analytics retention settings.
Security: Google implements industry-standard safeguards to protect data from unauthorized access or misuse. We use Firebase App Check to verify that requests to our backend originate from the legitimate Actify app.
To stop sending crash reports:
You can sign out of your Google account at any time in Settings → Sign Out. After signing out, no new data is uploaded, and your local custom decks remain on your device.
If you have signed in, you have a cloud account with associated data (account info and custom decks). To request deletion of your account and all associated cloud data, contact us at: actify.game@gmail.com
If you have never signed in, no personal data exists to delete. Crash data is anonymized and automatically deleted after 90 days.

We rely on contract performance as the legal basis for processing account and deck data when you sign in. We rely on legitimate interest for optional crash diagnostics and anonymous analytics. You may opt out of crash reporting at any time in Settings.
